Finding their voice

Cleveland marketing strategy firm Viva La Brand — also known as the one-woman show run by former Progressive advertising director Laura Sheridan — has signed on to help local wireless consulting company Vox Mobile develop a brand strategy and marketing plan.
Since going solo in fall 2007, Ms. Sheridan has overseen projects like an agency search for Toyota Financial Services and digital strategy development for locally-based retailer Dots.
And believe it or not, she says despite the economy, as a small-but-focused operation that doesn’t seek massive long-term commitments or big retainers, Viva La Brand has kept things busy.
“I jumped into this and it has just been beyond my expectations,” Ms. Sheridan said. “I think the value proposition is very appealing to companies.”
Of course, she did interrupt herself during our conversation to knock on wood. Can’t be too careful.
