Viva’s Blog: 7 Marketing Reminders for 2019

[1 minute read]

Start 2019 with a bang. Here’s how.

#1: Conduct a brand audit.

Do your marketing materials focus on what’s important to your customers or to you?

#2: Deeply understand your 2018 marketing results

What worked from a quantifiable standpoint AND is truly better for your customer?

#3: Review your KPIs

Are you monitoring the right metrics? Do they directly tie to improving your customer’s experience?

#4: Review your budget

What are your business goals for 2019? Does your 2019 marketing budget support those goals?

#5: Assess your marketing talent – internal and external

Who’s leading your marketing? Who’s driving strategy? Do they really know your customer? Are they passionate about your customer?

#6: Ensure your marketing and sales plans sync up

Marketing plans involving exciting ad campaigns that don’t support your sales efforts are a waste of time (and money!).

#7: Empower your marketing team

Does each member of your marketing team understand how their contributions help your customers and ultimately improve your business? Do they have the ability to explore new ideas, talk to customers and get close to your sales team to deliver more effective marketing programs?
